Thread Lift

A variation on the facelift procedure called a “Thread Lift” ($2320) is a less invasive solution to minor facial sagging. The technique involves the placement of long permanent sutures under the skin in discreet areas, which are then attached to the bone to gently lift the cheeks, eliminating sagging and creating a smoother-looking appearance. While not appropriate for patients with extensive sagging of the face and jowls, a Thread Lift is well suited for those who would like to correct minimal signs of aging. Warning: The barbed single suture procedure may last for only a few weeks or months at the most. Our more efficient and longer lasting version of Thread Lift procedure includes a U-shaped string that goes down and around the tissues it wants to hold up, and supports them to the lining on the bone of the temple or orbit permanently.

Dr. Foster prefers to use the U-shaped suture in order to ensure better and longer lasting results for his patients. The U-shaped loop securely holds all the soft tissues that require support. The surgeon secures it to the unyielding lining on the bone of the temple or to the lateral side of the eye socket, which is a very secure anchorage, and does not pull loose over time.
