Breast and Nipple Lift Surgery
Over time, and due to the effects of gravity, weight loss, pregnancy, and breastfeeding, even the perkiest breasts can lose volume and begin to sag. This can cause a woman to look and feel older than she should. Designed to rejuvenate drooping breasts, mastopexy, more commonly known as breast lift surgery, is performed by Lake Tahoe and Sacramento cosmetic surgeon Lawrence Foster to help women with mild to severe sagging of the breasts feel more youthful and confident.
Can I benefit from breast lift mastopexy surgery?
Breast Lift Options
Ideal candidates for breast lift mastopexy surgery are women in good physical and emotional health who want to improve the firmness and shape of sagging breasts. Although mastopexy can help women whose breasts have drooped due to pregnancy or breast feeding, the procedure should not be performed on pregnant women, those who are actively breast feeding, or women who plan to become pregnant. Women who plan to lose a significant amount of weight may wish to wait until they reach their desired weight loss goal before undergoing breast lift surgery. At our Lake Tahoe and Sacramento-based cosmetic surgery center, Dr. Foster can help you to decide whether the procedure is right for you.

At
The Tahoe Clinic, breast lift procedures are completely customized to fulfill each individual's unique needs and aesthetic desires. Thus, the techniques employed during breast lift mastopexy vary from patient to patient. There are five different degrees of breast lift available. Cost ranges from $1270 to $5055. Usually the procedure involves removing excess breast skin, reshaping the remaining breast tissue, and relocating the nipple and areola to a higher, more attractive position. It creates a new smaller skin brassiere.
For suitable candidates, Dr. Foster uses the "no vertical scar" breast lift technique. This advanced method produces very natural results with no visible scar when a woman is in an upright position. Other benefits include a shorter operating time, less swelling, and a reduced chance of poor healing. The cost of a "no visible scar" breast lift is only $4055. This is $1000 less than a standard anchor breast lift, because it requires less time in the operating room. (For women over 40 years of age, $100 must be added to this total to cover the cost of a pre-operative EKG and chest x-ray.)
Women who would like to restore lost volume in addition to improving the shape and firmness of the breasts may benefit from a mastopexy with
breast augmentation. This combined procedure uses implants to create fuller breasts. It is best done in two stages, 3 months apart.

For those women who wish to remove their implants but don't want the resulting ugly sag, Dr. Foster does an internal suspension ($2900) which holds the empty breast up without adding additional scars.
