Lake Tahoe Breast Augmentation Surgeon
Dr. Lawrence Foster was born and raised in California. After studying pre-med at UCLA, he attended medical school at the UC Medical Center in San Francisco. His internship at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, was followed by three years of general surgery residency at William Beaumont Hospital in El Paso, Texas. A year at the 44th MASH Hospital in Korea was followed by two years of assignment in the Brooke Army Burn Unit in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Foster was honorably discharged with the rank of Major.
Dr. Foster furthered his plastic surgery training at the Crippled Children's Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona, where he helped children with birth defects. He completed his training with an additional eighteen months at the San Francisco, UC Medical Center. Dr. Foster passed the Plastic Surgery Board exam in 1970, and was accepted as a fellow in the American College of Surgeons in 1971. Shortly after going into private practice in San Francisco, he was appointed Clinical Instructor in Plastic Surgery at the UC Medical Center.
In 1976, Dr. Foster moved his practice to Lake Tahoe. Soon there were so many patients coming to Tahoe for surgery that he designed an overnight facility. The Tahoe surgery center now accommodates patients from around the world, including New York, Anchorage, New Zealand, Miami, Rio de Janeiro and Geneva, Switzerland.
Dr. Foster is a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, the American Society of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeons, the International Society of Aesthetic Surgery, the American College of Surgeons and the International Society of Clinical Plastic Surgeons. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Bariatric Medicine.
